At MSV Housing we’re committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes and our Floorer’s are key to making this happen.
The role is responsible for delivering high‑quality flooring installation, repairs, and maintenance across the Group’s housing stock and commercial properties. It ensures all flooring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard, supporting the delivery of a reliable and customer‑focused property maintenance service.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
What do our Floorer’s do;
Install, replace, and repair a wide range of floor coverings, including vinyl, carpet, LVT, laminate, and safety flooring, ensuring high‑quality, compliant finishes.
Prepare subfloors and work areas, carrying out cleaning, levelling, applying smoothing compounds, DPMs, underlays, and completing associated minor tasks like trimming doors or fixing skirtings.
Carry out repairs to existing flooring, including tears, lifting edges, wet‑room repairs, welded seams, and safety‑flooring capping and coving (within competency).
Work safely and professionally, operating tools correctly, following PPE and health & safety procedures, reporting hazards, safeguarding materials, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Deliver excellent customer service, recording work accurately, communicating clearly, maintaining a tidy appearance, and collaborating with colleagues or supporting apprentices as required.
What we are looking for;
City and Guilds Craft or minimum NVQ level 2 in an appropriate craft based trade or substantial relevant experience
Experience of working as part of a multidiscipline team
Managing and prioritising a demanding workload
Customer focused and a desire to provide services to a high standard
Experience of working collaboratively in a busy team environment.

Further detail on our commitment to safeguarding young people can be found in our Safeguarding policy attached alongside this vacancy’s candidate pack.
